How to Use the QR Portal

Create static or dynamic QR codes, customize content, and track scans — in minutes.

1) Sign Up & Login

  1. Go to the QR Portal page.
  2. Register with username, email, and password.
  3. Tick the boxes to accept our Terms and Privacy Policy.
  4. Login to access your dashboard.

2) Create a New QR

  1. Click Create QR and enter a title and alias (short link).
  2. Select a Content Type:
    • Link URL — redirects to a website.
    • Text — shows text on a landing page.
    • vCard — contact details with “Download vCard”.
    • File URL — link to PDF/image/doc hosted elsewhere.
    • Catalogue — JSON list of items (title/desc/price).
    • Price — currency and amount display page.
    • Social — JSON of your social links.
    • Google Review — paste your Place ID (see below).
    • Q/A Form — collect feedback; notifications emailed to you.
  3. Optionally set Start/End dates and a Scan limit.
  4. Click Create. Your short link looks like https://yoursite.com/qr/your-alias.

Static QR = direct target URL; Dynamic QR = short link with analytics and control.

3) Manage & Share

  • In Your QR Codes, view short link, target, type, scan count.
  • Start/Pause to control availability; Delete to remove.
  • Share via WhatsApp, Email, or copy the link.

4) Image & Content Guidelines

  • Prefer clean, high-contrast QR images when exporting (PNG/PDF).
  • Logo overlays (if you add in designs outside the plugin): keep logo within the center “quiet zone”.
  • Recommended export sizes: 1024×1024 PNG for print (300 DPI advised) or vector PDF if available.
  • Avoid illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content. See our Terms.

5) Find Your Google Place ID (for Reviews)

  1. Open Google Place ID Finder.
  2. Search your business name and select the correct location.
  3. Copy the Place ID shown.
  4. Paste it in the “Google Review (Place ID)” field when creating a QR.

Your QR will open the Google “Write a review” screen directly.

6) Tips

  • Use unique aliases (e.g., my-shop-2025) to avoid collisions.
  • For catalogues/social links, validate your JSON (proper quotes and commas).
  • Keep an eye on scan counts; pause a code if a promotion ends.
